By the end of this century Americans may need to hack or make trees to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide from the air. This carbon dioxide in the air is one of the main reasons for global warming. Every mile a car goes puts out about one pound of carbon dioxide. A diagram of how the machine will work is listed to the left. When air flows over the plastic it catches whatever carbon dioxide is in it on the dry plastic. To release it you must get it wet and on the photo above a company is working to do that by making a mechanism that scrubs the carbon dioxide and when doing so provides light. The only problems that we might face with this is when we scrub it where will we store it. We could use it for greenhouses to store plants and feed them the CO2 but it still won't resolve the problem of CO2 in the air. another problem people might face is that it will lengthen the use of fossil fuel powered vehicles. So, the people who made this have to think about if it's worse to stay with the carbon dioxide and global warming and to wait until it dies out. Or make inventions to control it but deal with the situation longer. My opinion on the matter is to make the inventions now as they say better late than never.
